HFC-227ea Fire Suppression

The HFC-227ea fire suppression is a stand-alone clean gas fire suppression system where the extinguishing agent and nitrogen propellant are stored in the same cylinder. In the event of a fire, under pressure from the nitrogen propellant, the extinguishing agent is released directly into the protected confined space, rapidly extinguishing the fire. It is ideal for protecting single rooms. It can also be activated simultaneously via a fire alarm control panel (FACP) to protect larger hazardous areas.

Working principle：

In the event of a fire, the FM200 system receives a start signal and activates the electric actuator connected to the container valve. High-pressure nitrogen propellant propels HFC-227ea clean extinguishing agent from the storage cylinder and releases it through nozzles mounted on the cabinet. The extinguishing agent rapidly spreads throughout the protected area, thus suppressing the fire.

According to combustion theory, fire extinguishing methods are divided into physical and chemical methods. Physical fire extinguishing includes three methods: asphyxiation, cooling, and isolating the burning material. Chemical fire extinguishing mainly refers to the extinguishing agent capturing and consuming a large number of free radicals in the flame through chemical catalysis and chemical purification, thereby inhibiting the chain reaction of combustion. Chemical fire extinguishing is characterized by low concentration and rapid speed.
