Fire Ground Monitor

FUXEON® fire ground monitor is a portable, self-supporting fire water monitor engineered for rapid deployment where fixed fire monitors cannot reach. Built around a high-strength aluminum alloy body and a folding triple-leg base, it delivers a rated flow of 40 L/S (634 GPM) at 0.8 MPa — making it a dependable first-response tool for oil depots, petrochemical tank farms, airports, docks and other high-risk fire scenes.

The fire ground monitor has multiple support legs that can be folded for easy storage. Extending the legs allows for positioning during operation, and spring-loaded latches secure both the legs when extended and folded. Each leg is equipped with anti-slip tungsten carbide studs to prevent the water cannon from slipping during operation. These studs also have internal spring-loaded shock-absorbing mechanisms that automatically adjust to uneven surfaces and cushion recoil.

Features of the Fire Fighting Ground Monitor

Compared to traditional fixed fire monitors, fire fighting ground monitors are easier to transport and deploy, and are suitable for a variety of locations. As an independent automated unit, the monitor can swing automatically without human intervention, and after rapid deployment the flow rate can reach 634 GPM — ideal for emergency situations where every second counts.

The fire fighting ground monitor primarily utilizes a corrosion-resistant, high-strength aluminum alloy body, making it significantly lighter than similar steel products. Furthermore, it features a 360° rotating base for omnidirectional horizontal coverage, and nozzles with an adjustable vertical angle of 30° to 70° for precise water jet height control. It can also switch between two main modes: a narrow, long-range jet and a wide, diffused spray for large-area coverage.

FUXEON® fire monitor bodies are mostly made of high-strength aluminum alloy, which is 2–3 times stronger than ordinary aluminum alloy, rust-proof, corrosion-resistant, and pressure-resistant. This allows them to withstand harsh environments such as high temperatures, humidity, and corrosive fumes in fire scenes, resulting in a long service life. Some manufacturers use plastic materials, which are extremely prone to breakage during use. Every unit is pressure-tested before shipment, and our certifications cover UL, FM and CCCF standards.

How to Use the Fire Fighting Water Monitor

Extend the support legs of the fire fighting water monitor and place it on a flat, relatively rough surface, ensuring the three spikes are as deeply embedded as possible into the ground. Secure the auxiliary safety belt to the fixed equipment around the monitor. Close the monitor's valve, adjust the elevation angle to >30°, connect the water supply hose (matched with a suitable fire hose coupling), and slowly open the valve to achieve the rated jet flow rate and rated working pressure. Then, begin firefighting operations.

Application Scenarios

The firefighting monitor is particularly suitable for high-risk locations with toxic, harmful, flammable and explosive materials, such as oil fields, oil depots, airports, docks, large buildings, petrochemical tank areas, old urban areas that are difficult for fire trucks to access, and underground shopping malls. It is often paired with a foam bladder tank for foam-based fire suppression.
