Pendent Sprinkler

The pendent sprinkler mainly consists of the sprinkler body, a heat-sensitive element, a deflector plate, and other components. Supported by the heat-sensitive element, the sealing component ensures that the sprinkler remains tightly sealed. When a fire occurs, the heat-sensitive element activates at a predetermined temperature, and the pressurized water in the sprinkler inlet forces open the seal, striking the deflector plate to form a uniform spray pattern, thereby suppressing or extinguishing the fire.

We apply multiple layers of protection to pendent sprinkler head. First, protective clips are used to prevent damage to the glass bulb of the sprinkler head. Then the products are placed into foam boxes and further packed into cartons. During palletizing, we also use angle iron or thickened paper corner protectors to secure the cartons. Finally, we use stretch film for wrapping and packaging.

How to install the pendent sprinkler head?

The distance between fire sprinkler pendent and surrounding building structures is particularly important during installation. In installation work, we select different types of sprinkler heads according to the surrounding environment so that they can achieve different fire-extinguishing effects and functions. It should be noted that for pendent-type sprinkler heads installed under a suspended ceiling, the bottom of the sprinkler head should be flush with the ceiling. To avoid inaccurate positioning, the branch pipe for the pendant sprinkler can be installed after the elevation of the ceiling grid is determined. The length of the short pipe between the downward sprinkler head and the tee should not exceed 150 mm.

Installation Notes:

Before installation, fire sprinkler pendent should be checked against the ceiling layout drawing, and installation positions should be optimized to prevent conflicts with smoke detectors, lighting fixtures, speakers, and other devices. The ceiling reference line and elevation line should be clearly defined. After the keel (ceiling framing) is adjusted and positioned, the length of the sprinkler short pipe should be measured and then installed to prevent the short pipe from being too long or too short. The opening of holes for ceiling sprinkler heads is the responsibility of the interior finishing contractor.
